ES/A designed and oversaw construction on the interior renovation for Shelsky's of Brooklyn, Smoked Fish & Appetizing store. Shelsky's moved from their former space on Smith Street in Brooklyn to an expanded retail presence at 141 Court Street at Atlantic Avenue. The design of the store utilizes a palette of simple materials to evoke an updated take on the traditional deli aesthetic. Standard subway tile clad the walls and the multi-tier main counter. Reclaimed wood shleving lines the walls around the perimeter of the entire space where family photos and judaica are displayed. A decorative iron column is exposed and serves as a focus point for tiered built-in shelving. Industrial caged lighting is used above the deli counters and illuminates the product.
