Eric Safyan Architect PC
Located in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood, Eric Safyan / Architect PC is a general architectural practice that offers a full scope of architectural services. A range of residential and commercial projects are undertaken ranging from home additions and renovations, new construction multi-family development, passive house construction, to restaurant and boutique design and office interiors. Each project is developed through a rigorous research and design process with attention to detail, sustainable principles, and strong client feedback. From the use of cutting edge materials and fabrication techniques to the rehabilitation and restoration of original brownstone details, to zoning and development proposals, ES/A believes strongly in collaboration with other fields and trades to achieve a solution that exceeds client expectations. 
 
Current work includes a private house in Costa Rica, a restaurant in Bushwick, retail concept design for a tattoo parlor/clothing store, office design for a Gowanus-based co-work office, and renovations and additions to homes in Brooklyn, NY, specifically in the brownstone community. 
 
Eric Safyan, R.A., Principal
Eric Safyan is a registered architect in NY State since 2006 and has been in practice as Eric Safyan / Architect PC, a Brooklyn based architectural office focusing on multifamily residential design and development, renovations and enlargements to existing buildings, and new construction townhouses; as well as commercial office, institutional, and hospitality projects. Prior to forming ES/A, Eric Safyan worked for Fifield Piaker Elman Architects PC where he was Project Architect for several large scale architectural design projects including retail design for the GAP flagship store in New York City; lobby design for the Revlon Building at 625 Madison Avenue; historic preservation work for the Flatiron Building; and design and management of multiple projects for commercial and residential real estate clients SL Green, Newmark & Co., Cushman & Wakefield, and Two Trees Management.

Eric Safyan holds Master of Architecture degrees from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA and from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles, CA. At SCI-Arc he was part of the MR+D (Metropolitan Research and Design) Program, where he graduated with honors and was nominated for the SOM Traveling Fellowship. He has also taken continuing education certificate programs at the Schack Institute of Real Estate - NYU. He is a registered architect in New York State, a registered Special Inspection Agency in NYC, a member of the NY Landmarks Conservancy, and has volunteered with Architecture for Humanity in New York. He has also sat on design reviews at Pratt University and at SCI-Arc.

Kevin Kehler R.A., Project Architect
Kevin Kehler R.A. is a Project Architect at Eric Safyan / Architect P.C.  With over 9 years of expe­ri­ence as an archi­tect working on a variety of building types and scale, he joined the firm having pre­vi­ously worked for Project Design Associates, Workshop for Architecture, and Contemporary Architecture Practice.  Since joining Eric Safyan / Architect PC in 2011, Kevin has led on a variety of landmark, residential and hospitality projects for the office.

Kevin is original from Lakeland Florida, has a Masters of Architecture from the Uni­ver­sity of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Architecture from University of Illinois at Chicago.  While attending the University of Illinois he participated in an exchanged program with Ecole d'Architecture de Versailles and studies architecture in Versailles France for a year.  He has also served on varies design juries at Pratt Insti­tute School of Archi­tec­ture and the New School in New York. Kevin is a registered architect in NY. 

Lara CaballeroProject Architect
Lara Caballero has 6 years combined experience in project management and design. She has contributed to the design and management of commercial, hospitality, and residential buildings with a focus on ecologically sound principles. As a project architect with Eric Safyan Architect PC, she specializes in townhouse renovation and enlargement, high-end apartment renovation and hospitality design.

Lara holds a Masters of Architecture degree from Madrid Polytechnic University, Spain and a Postgraduate degree in Retail Design from the Architectural association of Catalonia (COAC), in Barcelona, Spain. She has led the design and construction of several stores for clients such as Tommy Hilfiger, Desigual, Superdry, Mango, North Face, Napapijri, Ralph Lauren, and Lacoste, in Barcelona and Northern Spain. In her previous experience, Lara participated in and coordinated several architectural exhibitions in Spain and the U.S. Her work has been exhibited in museums and art festivals such us IVAM, Zero1 3rd San Jose Biennial, EME3 Festival and LABoral Art and Industrial Creation Center. She is deeply committed to promote community-based sustainable architecture in NYC through her dedication to, and involvement with Open Architecture New York and Center for Family Life.
